Fundraising:
When you register for our skating programs you will recieve a fundraising booklet (which is paid for at the time of registration), as you sell tickets you will then keep the money raised. A portion of the funds raised goes directly to our skate programs and you now have the opportunity to have the tickets you have sold to be entered into a draw for some fabulous prizes! VOLUNTEER:
Our club, like many others requests a bond cheque at registration. You are given the opportunity to volunteer for a total of 8 HOURS min. and this bond will be reimbursed to you. Volunteer Opportunities arise throughout the season, so ask questions or watch for notices for details.
Some of these volunteer positions:
- as a convener at a session (help with paperwork for coaches, hand out newsletters and info, taking attendance etc)
- have a skater who can PA (program assistant who is a helper on the ice during a session)
- Ice show committee (or help the day of for several hours)
- Christmas Parade float decorating/teardown
- Summer sidewalk days booth
- help with a competition (Denis Silverthorn Fri-Sun Feb 5-7, 2016 in St Thomas)
