Re: 2021-22 Season Woodstock Skating Club Vaccination Policy
To: Woodstock Skating Club Members
Woodstock Skating Club recognizes the significant impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on sports and recreation activities. We understand how important skating is to our member families and are committed to doing what’s necessary to keep our programs as safe as possible for the 2021-22 season. Woodstock Skating Club believes mandatory vaccination is an important step to support our organizations efforts to prevent the spread of this virus. Ensuring that all eligible individuals are vaccinated will provide us with the best opportunity to keep our participants on the ice and will support regular programming.
In keeping with the most recent announcements from the Province of Ontario, Southwest Public Health, Skate Ontario and the City of Woodstock Recreation directives for facility use by amateur sports organizations, the Woodstock Skating Club will require proof of COVID-19 immunization for all persons unless otherwise exempt including skaters, spectators, coaches, officials, staff and volunteers in order to participate in Woodstock Skating Club sanctioned programming. Exemptions shall include:
(a) participants who are under 12 years of age;
(b) participants who are under 18 years of age and are entering the indoor premises of
a facility solely for the purpose of actively participating in an organized sport;
(c) a documented medical reason for not being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Eligible participants will require proof of being fully vaccinated or exemption prior to acceptance of their registration and the start of their specific program.
Further details regarding implementation of this Policy, exemption qualifications, providing poof of vaccination, etc. will be communicated via our website as they become available.
